Senior Claims Adjuster


Responsibilities included: 

§  Determine Coverage verifying name insured (NI) has valid coverage at the time of the accident. 

§  Manage several computer systems including ISO, ACCURINT, LEXISNEXIS, DCS, CMS, AS400, CCC and Sharepoint among others. 

§  Handle limits issues and set exposures, (open and close exposures as needed)

§  Contact adverse carriers to gather FOL's, PR's, or to subrogate sending demands.

§  Write ROR's and handle Diminish values. 

§  Partner with appraisers/estimators to manage vehicle repairs. 

§  Payment of claims including Total losses. 

§  Send liability denial letters, coverage denials, storage cut-off letters, reservation of rights (ROR's), acknowledgement letters to attorneys, and several other letters as needed. 

§  Interviewed customers, claimants, and witnesses to take FOLs and request all necessary documentation to determine liability (who’s at fault for the damages) 

§  Gathering all facts of loss including all parties’ statements, vehicle damages (pictures), police reports, injuries, and any other relevant info that might help determine liability. 

§  Participate on round tables for complex claims. 

§  Negotiate with customers and other insurance carriers and resolve claims. 

§  Document all calls and findings on the claims center system.  

§  Manage website database and website, set up appointments for drive-ins.

§  Handle limits issues, and prepared claims for subrogation, pro rata, and total loss. 

§  Partner with appraisers/estimators to manage vehicle repairs. 

§  Payment of claims and rental reimbursements. 

§  Negotiate with customers and other insurance carriers.

§  Manage a 60+ inventory, and close an average of 8-12+ claims daily.
